With ‘fashion week’ kicking off all over the world, we thought that we would touch on what the regular gal can look forward to.
Top Five Fall Fashion Trends for Plus Gals
Stay trendy with fall fashion by incorporating some of the trends.
Yes, plus sized gals can were plaid.
- Wear only 1 plaid item at a time.
- Pair this item with a solid color chosen from that plaid.
- A plaid top is generally more flattering than a plaid bottom- on most people.
- Consider a plaid accessory with your monochromatic outfit.
- Bolder up and done stripes are more slenderizing than the horizontal kind.
The Boyfriend Influence
Boyfriend anything in clothing generally refers to having a less constricting and a more full fit.
Before we grasp this trend, we need to note what our dressing assets are. For example, if you are an hourglass shape and your waist is your dressing focal point, this trend may not be for you.
This trend works well for the rectangular shaped gal.
Fringe is back again.
Fringe offers a fun embellishment to casual dressing.
The plus gal should stick with the small to medium fringe. Fringe can actually add vertical lines, the kind that are flattering to the eye.
Robe style coats
It may be a bit early for some of us to be thinking about a coat. We just wanted to let you know that those slim cut coats of last year are last year’s coat indeed- a good thing for curvy ladies.
‘Robe style’ means the coat has a wide belt, which we know is nice when you want to create or enhance curves. The coats can have buttons and they can be in a trench style.
The boyfriend effect is also a big trend especially in winter coats. These coats are over-sized and not necessarily flattering to all of us.
60’s inspired and color block
These 60’s inspired and the color block are both big trends in dresses. One of these works better than the other one for plus size gals. It works so much better that we will go as far as saying that color block is a curvy gal’s friend.
We have nothing against the 60’s inspired look. Most of these dresses are in the mini length which is not as flattering, for the most part.
