Okay, is it me or does anyone else out there see the reference “I’m No Angel” to that other store that loves their Angels– the ‘Angels’ that really don’t like the rest of us?
Aren’t they from the same (store) family? I digress, this is good news.
Lane Bryant Wants Us to Redefine Sexy #PlusSize #ImNoAngel
First of all, THANK YOU LANE BRYANT for featuring gals who look like US (not just curvy but, regular gals too!).
HA!! The joke was on me. Like buying a bra and undies from the other Angels would actually create my metamorphosis into Giselle (what was I thinking??).
It’s about Lane Bryant’s Cacique line of lingerie.
Lane Bryant says that the women
‘who wear Cacique know that sexy comes in many shapes and sizes.’ They’re no angels—and they own it.’
Lane Bryant says to join the women who are redefining sexy by posting your personal statement of confidence using the hashtag #ImNoAngel.
This #ImNoAngel movement wants the world to celebrate women of all shapes and sizes. We are all sexy according to them.
The ads for this will feature curvy models Ashley Graham, Marquita Pring, Candice Huffine, Victoria Lee, Justine Legault and Elly Mayday. These curvy gals are dressed in Cacique lingerie.
Despite the ‘ad campaign’ aura of this, it really is a good thing for all of us.
Real women do not all have flat abs, belly-button rings, no thighs, the ability to function in not-full-coverage bras, and underpants that show every part of the buttocks that also feel like floss. We dress for comfort, support and real life. Just because we are curvy, we don’t have to conform to what the general public thinks we should all look like under those clothing. There is nothing to be ashamed of.
FYI- some of the Cacique looks…
